Welcome from our President

Welcome to our Club's website.
If you are new to Rotary this is who we are in a nutshell:

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Our 35,000+ clubs work together to:

  • Promote peace
  • Fight disease
  • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Save mothers and children
  • Support education
  • Grow local economies
  • Help improve our environment
One of my favorite things about Rotary is the friendships made while 'Doing Good'. We have all different political and religious opinions in all clubs, ours as well, but that does not stop us from pulling together to make our community better.
That is Rotary.  If you want to help make your community, nation and world to be a better place, we would love for you to visit and see if our group makes sense to you. Below is my contact info. Contact me anytime.
Yours in Service,
Karen A. Seitz

2020-2021 International Theme

Each year in July, Rotary Clubs around the world welcomes a new President at the club level as well as the at international level. Rotary International President is from Germany: Holger Knaack. His theme for 2020-21, Rotary Opens Opportunities. Holger is asking all Rotarians to create opportunities that strengthen their leadership, help put service ideas into action, and improve the lives of those in need.
We agree with him and that is what we want to accomplish this year in our club.
If you would like to read more about Holger here is a link:  https://www.rotary.org/en/young-heart

Covid and Rotary

The Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s charitable arm, has to date awarded $20 million to support Rotary clubs worldwide in their immediate response to COVID-19 in their communities, and to long term recovery efforts.
To learn more about Rotary’s response to COVID-19 and to find out how you can get involved, visit https://www.rotary.org/en/rotary-clubs-help-fight-covid-19-pandemic.
Our District Leadership gave each of our 38 Clubs a check for $1,000 to help with local Covid issues! Our club saw a specific need in our teenage community and used the money there.
